AKW Curved Top Bath Shower Screen – Fixed 300mm or Hinged 800mm & 1000mm

AKW Curved Top Bath Shower Screen – Fixed 300mm or Hinged 800mm & 1000mm

Keep the water in the bath with the AKW curved top bath shower screen. Made from 6mm toughened safety glass with a polished chrome wall profile, it is available as a compact 300mm fixed screen or as an 800mm or 1000mm hinged screen that swings out of the way when you get in and out of the bath.

The soft curved top corner gives a modern look, and the screen is non-handed, so it can be fitted at the left or right end of the bath.

Key features & benefits

• 6mm toughened safety glass, 1400mm high.
• Three widths – 300mm fixed, 800mm hinged and 1000mm hinged.
• Hinges open 110° in both directions for easy access and cleaning (hinged models).
• Non-handed – fit on either side.
• Adjustable chrome wall profile (40 x 44mm) with 15mm of adjustment to cope with walls that are out of true.
• Rubber bottom seal on the hinged screens; the fixed screen is sealed to the bath with silicone.
• Lifetime warranty; UKCA and CE marked.

Choosing the right width

300mm fixed: a small splash guard for a bath with a hand-held shower used mainly for rinsing.

800mm hinged: a good all-round choice for a standard 1700mm bath with an over-bath shower.

1000mm hinged: extra protection for a powerful shower or a larger showering area.

Make sure the screen width leaves enough flat bath rim for the screen to sit on and does not clash with taps. AKW's screens are designed to go with the AKW steel bath and thermostatic bath shower mixer. Call 0333 772 4162 if you need help.

Installation notes

• Fix the wall profile vertically with a spirit level, using the 15mm adjustment to correct an out-of-true wall.
• Seal the outside of the wall profile with silicone – never seal the inside.
• Fit on a tiled or panelled wall that can take fixings.
