Description
AKW EnviroVent Filterless Bathroom Extractor Fan – 12V SELV or 230V Mains
The AKW EnviroVent filterless extractor fan is a compact, low-profile fan for wet rooms, bathrooms, shower rooms and kitchens. Its Intellitrac control monitors humidity automatically and responds as moisture rises, removing damp air before it can cause condensation and mould. Because it is filterless, there are no filters to clean or replace – a big advantage in social housing, care homes and rented homes where maintenance needs to be minimal.
Choose the 12V SELV version for installation close to water – it runs from a safety extra-low voltage supply and is suitable for Zone 1 above a shower or bath – or the 230V mains version where a mains-voltage fan is permitted.
Key features & benefits
- Backward-curved EC motor extracts moist air efficiently, helping prevent condensation and mould
- Intellitrac humidity control works automatically – no user adjustment needed
- Brushless EC motor uses up to 80% less energy than a traditional AC fan
- Filterless design – nothing to clean or replace
- SELV version suitable for Zone 1, right above a bath or shower
- Performance exceeds Building Regulations requirements
- Quiet, discreet and easy to wipe clean
- Parts are easy to maintain or replace, keeping lifetime costs low
- 5-year warranty
SELV or mains – which do I need?
Electrical rules divide a bathroom into zones. If the fan will be fitted in Zone 1 – above a bath or shower tray up to 2.25m – choose the 12V SELV model, which runs at a safe low voltage. If the fan is outside the zones, the 230V mains model can be used. Your electrician will confirm which suits your room.
Installation notes
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with current wiring regulations. The fan should be ducted to the outside. See the specification sheet below for dimensions and wiring details.
