The AKW iTherm thermostatic electric shower is a modern, easy-to-use electric shower with separate dials for temperature and flow, a digital LED temperature read-out and a chrome shower kit. Its raised, textured chrome dials are easy to grip and clean, and the thermostatic control keeps the temperature steady, making it a dependable choice for family bathrooms, rental properties and accessible bathrooms alike.

Choosing 8.5kW or 9.5kW

The higher the rating, the stronger the flow at a comfortable temperature, particularly in winter. AKW specify a 35/40A protective device for 8.5kW and 40/45A for 9.5kW, with a 30mA RCD and a 50A double-pole isolator. Your electrician will confirm what your circuit can take; when replacing a shower, match or go below the old rating unless the cable has been checked.

Installation notes

• Retro-fit footprint covers most makers’ fixing holes – usually no re-tiling; stainless-steel fitting plate supplied.
• 6 cable and 8 water entry points with a dual power block for left- or right-hand wiring.
• Can be hardwired to an AKW DigiPump waste pump or AKW P12 pump for level-access showers.
• Optional AKW Halo Wall Plate to hide old fixing marks; replacement kits: AKW Standard Accessory Kit.

Is the iTherm a care shower?

The iTherm is thermostatic with clear LED feedback and easy-grip dials, but it is not BEAB Care certified. For care settings choose the AKW SmartCare Plus or SmartCare Lever.

Can I use it with a waste pump?

Yes – it can be hardwired to an AKW DigiPump or P12 pump.

Will it fit where my old shower was?

In most cases yes – the retro-fit footprint and multiple entry points are designed to cover the holes of most other brands.
