AKW Level Best Full Height Glass Wet Room Shower Screen – Choice of 700, 800, 900 or 1000mm Width

AKW Level Best Full Height Glass Wet Room Shower Screen – Choice of 700, 800, 900 or 1000mm Width

The AKW Level Best full height glass shower screen is a fixed, frameless-look wet room panel that gives a clean, open walk-in shower. Standing 1900mm tall in 6mm safety glass with a polished aluminium wall channel, it suits wet room floors and a wide range of shower tray layouts, and is non-handed so it can be fitted to the left or right of the shower area.

Choose the width that suits your showering space – 700mm, 800mm, 900mm or 1000mm. A 12–15mm gap is left beneath the glass so the floor can be cleaned easily and water can run freely towards the waste.

• Full height 1900mm glass screen for a modern walk-in or wet room shower

• Non-handed – fit to the left or right
• Can be installed with a variety of shower tray and wet floor configurations

Choosing the right width

Measure the length of the showering area along the wall the screen will be fixed to. As a guide, the screen should be long enough to contain splashes from the shower head – most customers pick 800mm or 900mm for a typical walk-in shower, 700mm where space is tight and 1000mm for a larger wet room or where the shower faces the open side. If you also want a pivoting deflector panel at the open end, see the AKW Level Best Deflector Screen.

The Level Best screen is ideal for accessible bathrooms, family bathrooms and care settings where a level-access wet floor replaces a bath or a stepped tray.

Installation notes

The screen fixes to the wall with an aluminium channel and is braced with the supplied support rail, which is cut to length on site. Fit onto a level, waterproofed (tanked) wet room floor or a suitable shower tray with a flat perimeter. We recommend installation by a competent fitter.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Level Best screen handed?

No. The screen is non-handed and can be fitted on the left or right of the shower area.

Can I use it on a shower tray?

Yes. AKW designed it to be installed with a variety of shower tray configurations as well as wet room floors.

Why is there a gap under the glass?

The 12–15mm gap makes the floor easy to clean and lets water flow to the waste rather than being trapped against the screen.

Is there a black version?

No. AKW have discontinued the black Level Best screen. The polished aluminium version shown here is the current model.
