A tiled wet room deserves a waste that looks the part. AKW’s Level Best stainless steel wastes have a 120 x 120mm stainless steel plate that sits flush with the tiles, and they fit the AKW Tuff Form and Tuff Form8.

Choose the stainless steel TF75 for the deepest 75mm water seal (125mm depth below the mounting surface, adjustable elbow for the outlet), the stainless steel TFWA with a GW19 trapped waste (97mm below the former), or one of the waste adaptors without a trap – TFWA or SFWA – if you are supplying your own GW50 or GW19 waste.

The plate height adjusts to suit the tile thickness, and every version opens from above for cleaning and rodding. The GW50 versions are TFWA with GW50 (LB00102) and SFWA with GW50 (21318).

Choosing a stainless steel waste

Check the depth below the former. The TF75 needs the most (125mm) but gives a 75mm water seal. The TFWA with GW19 needs about 97mm. If depth is very tight, look at the low height DW90 / GW90-2 wastes with tiled adaptors instead. Still unsure? Installation notes

Fit before tiling. Bed the plate at the finished tile height using the adjustment, connect the outlet with a continuous fall, and seal into the tanking with a Mapeband waste outlet gasket.

Can I use these with vinyl?

No – these are for tiled floors. For vinyl choose the TF75 or TFWA vinyl wastes.

What is the difference between TFWA and SFWA?

Both are AKW stainless steel waste adaptors for tiled floors that take a trapped waste. The SFWA is the dot-grate version that AKW pair with GW50 or GW19 wastes in their 21318 and 21319 sets.

Does the adaptor-only version include a trap?

No – add a GW50 or GW19 trapped waste.
