AKW Livenza Wash Basin – Choice of Size, Tap Holes & Pedestal
The AKW Livenza Wash Basin is a practical, great-value ceramic basin from AKW's Livenza sanitaryware range. It comes in 450mm, 500mm and 550mm widths, each with one or two tap holes, and can be bought on its own or with a matching semi or full pedestal – the right-sized semi pedestal is selected for you automatically.
Key features & benefits
- Three widths – 450mm, 500mm and 550mm.
- Flat, level tap deck that is quick to wipe clean.
- Rounded edges and corners for added safety.
- 1 or 2 tap holes for a mixer tap or a pair of basin taps.
- Chrome overflow insert for a neat finish.
- No chain stay, so it is ideal for a clicker waste (sold separately).
- Small semi pedestal for 450mm and 500mm basins, large semi pedestal for 550mm, or a full pedestal for all sizes.
- Lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects in the ceramics.
Choosing your basin
Size: 450mm suits cloakrooms and en-suites, 500mm is a good all-rounder and 550mm gives the most washing space. Tap holes: 1 tap hole for a monobloc mixer (including lever or thermostatic mixers), 2 tap holes for separate hot and cold taps. Pedestal: a semi pedestal leaves the floor clear and gives knee space for seated or wheelchair users; a full pedestal hides all the pipework. Need help? Call 0333 772 4162.
Installation notes
- Taps, waste and trap are sold separately.
- Fix to a solid wall with the supplied fixings; add an AKW basin bracket on stud walls or where extra support is needed.

Frequently asked questions
Are taps and a waste included?
No – taps, waste and trap are sold separately so you can choose exactly what you need.
Which pedestal suits a wheelchair user?
A semi pedestal, because it leaves space under the basin for knees and footplates.
Can I use a plug and chain?
The basin has no chain stay, so a clicker (push-button) waste is the best match.
