AKW Marlbrook Wall Panel Bottom & Floor Profiles – Tray, Tile, Skirting or Vinyl
The AKW Marlbrook bottom & floor profiles are part of the trim system for Marlbrook square-edged bathroom wall panels. These profiles finish the bottom edge of the panels where they meet a shower tray or bath, tiles, skirting or vinyl safety flooring.
Marlbrook profiles seal and protect the panel edges and give a clean, professional finish. They are available in aluminium or white PVC, so you can choose a crisp metal line or a trim that blends into white walls.
Key features & benefits
- Designed for Marlbrook 12mm square-edged wall panels.
- Aluminium or white PVC to suit the look of the room.
- Seals exposed panel edges against water.
- Cut to length on site.
- Bed in silicone for a watertight finish.
Planning your Marlbrook trims
A Marlbrook installation uses H-sections to join panels, internal and external corners, radiused or square end caps for exposed edges, and a bottom profile where the panels meet a shower tray, bath, tiles or vinyl safety flooring. Count each vertical joint, corner and exposed edge on your layout and order one profile per run.
Most installers use one material throughout – all aluminium or all white PVC – so the trims match. See the panels at AKW Marlbrook wall panels, or call us on 0333 772 4162 for a parts list.
Why wall panels for adaptations? Wall panels are much quicker to fit than tiles – often a single day for a shower area – with far less dust and mess, which matters when someone is living in the home. There is no grout to discolour or harbour mould, and the large surfaces are easy for carers and cleaners to wipe down.
Installation notes
- Dry-fit and cut the profile to length before applying silicone.
- Run silicone into the channel and press the panel edge home.
- Wipe away excess silicone straight away.
