Description
AKW Navlin Basin Pedestal – Semi or Full Pedestal
The AKW Navlin Basin Pedestal is the matching pedestal for AKW Navlin wash basins (450mm, 500mm and 550mm). Choose a semi pedestal that fixes to the wall under the basin and leaves the floor clear, or a full pedestal that stands on the floor for a classic look.
Key features & benefits
- Semi pedestal – hides the trap while keeping the floor clear, so it is easier to clean around and gives closer access for a seated or wheelchair user. Supplied with a fixing kit.
- Full pedestal – floor-standing for extra stability and to hide all the pipework.
- Smooth, rounded Navlin styling in white vitreous china to match the Navlin and Navlin Doc M ranges.
Choosing the right pedestal
For accessible bathrooms, a semi pedestal is usually the better choice because it leaves knee space under the basin. In a family bathroom or cloakroom, a full pedestal gives a traditional finish. Both fit all three Navlin basin sizes. If you need the basin as well, see the AKW Navlin Wash Basin, which can be bought with either pedestal. Questions? Call 0333 772 4162.
Installation notes
- Fit the basin first using its own fixing kit, then position the pedestal underneath.
- The semi pedestal fixes to the wall under the basin; make sure the wall is solid enough to take the fixings.
- The full pedestal stands on the floor and supports the front of the basin – check the floor is level before fixing.
- Allow for your trap and waste when deciding on pipe positions; the pedestal hides them from view.
