The AKW Navlin Wash Basin is a clean, contemporary ceramic basin from AKW's Navlin sanitaryware collection – the same range as the Navlin Doc M toilets, so everything in an accessible bathroom or washroom matches. It comes in three widths (450mm, 500mm and 550mm), with one or two tap holes, and you can buy it on its own or with a matching semi pedestal or full pedestal.

• Flat, level tap deck that is quick and easy to wipe clean.
• Rounded edges and corners for added safety.
• 1 or 2 tap holes – one tap hole for a mixer tap, two for a pair of basin taps.
• Waste options: 1 tap hole basins take a clicker waste or a plug and chain waste with an anchor point; 2 tap hole basins have a chain stay hole for a plug and chain waste (wastes sold separately).
• Fixing kit supplied; an AKW wash basin bracket is available for extra support where needed.
• Semi pedestal – leaves the floor clear, is easier to clean around and lets a seated or wheelchair user get closer to the basin.
• Full pedestal – a more traditional look that adds stability and hides the pipework.

Choosing your basin

Size: the 450mm basin suits cloakrooms and small en-suites; 500mm is a good all-rounder; 550mm gives the most room for washing. Measure the space either side and allow room for taps.

Tap holes: choose 1 tap hole for a monobloc mixer (including lever and thermostatic mixers) or 2 tap holes for separate hot and cold taps.

Pedestal: for wheelchair users or anyone who sits to wash, a semi pedestal (or a wall-hung basin on brackets) gives knee space under the basin. A full pedestal hides the trap and pipes completely. Need help? Call 0333 772 4162.

Installation notes

• Taps, waste and trap are not included.
• Fix the basin to a solid wall using the fixing kit supplied; use the AKW basin bracket on plasterboard or where extra support is needed.
• The semi pedestal is supplied with its own fixing kit.
