The AKW Opulence full height glass screen is a frameless-look wet room shower screen in 8mm clear toughened safety glass. It creates a minimalist walk-in shower that makes the bathroom feel larger, and it works equally well on an easy access or level access shower tray, a tiled wet room floor former or a wet room finished in vinyl safety flooring.

Choose the screen width and the wall profile to match your floor: a square profile for shower trays and tiled floors, or a coved profile for vinyl safety flooring that turns up the wall.

How to choose

Width: measure the wall length of your showering area and choose a screen long enough to contain spray from the shower head – 700mm or 800mm for compact showers, 900mm or 1000mm for larger wet rooms.

Floor profile: pick Tray or Tiled Floor if the screen will stand on a shower tray or a tiled wet room floor, or Vinyl Floor if the room has coved vinyl safety flooring.

For extra splash protection add the AKW Opulence 300mm hinged glass flipper panel, and for users who need support entering the shower, the Opulence floor to ceiling grab pole fixes to the edge of the screen.

Installation notes

The screen fixes to the wall with the aluminium compensator profile and is braced by the telescopic tie bar. The base must be level and fully waterproofed. Professional installation is recommended.

What is the difference between the floor profiles?

The square profile is for shower trays and tiled floors. The coved profile is shaped to sit over coved vinyl safety flooring where it turns up the wall.

Is the screen handed?

No – it is universal and can be fitted on the left or right.

Will it fit my shower tray?

It suits any shower tray or wet room former, including AKW and Contour trays, that has a flat area of at least 40mm along the edge where the glass will stand.

Can I add a grab pole?

Yes. The AKW Opulence floor to ceiling grab pole is designed to attach to the edge of this 8mm screen.
