The AKW Origins H-section profile is part of the matching trim system for 11mm Origins bathroom wall panels. It joins two panels side by side on a flat wall, holding both edges in a neat, sealed channel.

Origins profiles cover every exposed panel edge so the core is sealed against water, and they give the finished wall a crisp, professional line. Choose the finish that suits your room – the same finishes run across the whole Origins profile range, so you can match corners, joins and end caps throughout.

Which profile do I need?

Origins installations use four main profiles: an internal corner where two walls meet in an inside corner, an external corner for outside corners such as boxing or a shower return, an H-section to join two panels side by side, and an end cap to finish an exposed panel edge, for example at the end of a shower wall.

To work out quantities, count every vertical corner, join and exposed edge on your layout – one profile length per run. Pick one finish for the whole room so everything matches. See the full panel range at AKW Origins wall panels.

Why wall panels for adaptations? Wall panels are much quicker to fit than tiles – often a single day for a shower area – with far less dust and mess, which matters when someone is living in the home. There is no grout to discolour or harbour mould, and the large surfaces are easy for carers and cleaners to wipe down.

Installation notes

• Cut the profile to length and dry-fit it before applying adhesive or silicone.
• Run silicone into the profile channel, then slide or press the panel edge home.
• Wipe away surplus silicone straight away with a damp cloth.

Will this fit other makes of 11mm wall panel?

It is designed for AKW Origins 11mm panels. Other 11mm panels may fit, but we can only confirm compatibility with Origins.

How long is the profile?

AKW supplies Origins profiles in lengths to suit the 2400mm panels. If you need an exact length, call us on 0333 772 4162 before ordering.

Can I mix finishes?

You can, but most people choose one finish for all corners, joins and end caps so the room looks consistent.
