AKW Origins Two-Piece Internal Corner Profile for 11mm Wall Panels – Choice of Finish

AKW Origins Two-Piece Internal Corner Profile for 11mm Wall Panels – Choice of Finish

The AKW Origins two-piece internal corner profile is part of the matching trim system for 11mm Origins bathroom wall panels. This two-part version is fitted in stages – the back section first, then the front cover – which makes it easier to fit into an inside corner after the first panel is in place.

Origins profiles cover every exposed panel edge so the core is sealed against water, and they give the finished wall a crisp, professional line. Choose the finish that suits your room – the same finishes run across the whole Origins profile range, so you can match corners, joins and end caps throughout.

Key features & benefits

• Made for 11mm Origins panels – both 1200mm square edge and 600mm / 900mm tongue & groove.
• Seals and protects exposed panel edges, which AKW requires for the warranty.
• Matching finishes across the Origins profile range.
• Cut to length on site with a fine-toothed saw.
• Bed in silicone for a watertight joint.

Which profile do I need?

Origins installations use four main profiles: an internal corner where two walls meet in an inside corner, an external corner for outside corners such as boxing or a shower return, an H-section to join two panels side by side, and an end cap to finish an exposed panel edge, for example at the end of a shower wall.

To work out quantities, count every vertical corner, join and exposed edge on your layout – one profile length per run. Pick one finish for the whole room so everything matches. See the full panel range at AKW Origins wall panels.

Why wall panels for adaptations? Wall panels are much quicker to fit than tiles – often a single day for a shower area – with far less dust and mess, which matters when someone is living in the home. There is no grout to discolour or harbour mould, and the large surfaces are easy for carers and cleaners to wipe down.

Installation notes

• Cut the profile to length and dry-fit it before applying adhesive or silicone.
• Run silicone into the profile channel, then slide or press the panel edge home.
• Wipe away surplus silicone straight away with a damp cloth.
