AKW Push-Fit Waste Pipe & Fittings 32mm & 40mm – Choice of Pipe or Fitting
AKW push-fit waste pipe and fittings make connecting basins, baths and showers to the drainage system quick and clean. Each joint is sealed by a push-fit ring, so there is no solvent cement to apply and no waiting for joints to cure – simply cut the pipe square, chamfer the end and push it home. Joints can be taken apart again if a run needs altering.
The range covers 32mm waste for basins and 40mm waste for baths and showers, with 3m lengths of pipe and packs of five couplings, elbows, tees, end stops, clips and reducers.
Key features & benefits
- Push-fit ring seal – no solvent welding required
- Polypropylene construction – durable yet lightweight
- High-gloss finish that is easy to clean
- 32mm for basins, 40mm for baths and showers
- Made to British Standards and compatible with existing British Standard waste systems
- Low maintenance; joints can be dismantled
Choosing the right size and fittings
Use 32mm pipe for wash basins and 40mm pipe for baths, shower trays and wet room wastes. Plan the run from the trap to the stack or gully, then count the bends: an elbow turns 90°, a swept elbow gives a gentler bend for better flow, an obtuse elbow turns 45°, and a street elbow has one spigot end to fit directly into another fitting. Tees join two wastes, reducers step from 40mm to 32mm, and clips support the pipe at regular intervals so it cannot sag. Keep a steady fall on the pipe so water drains freely.
Why buy your fittings with your bathroom?
Ordering the pipe, fittings and connectors alongside your AKW bathroom products means everything arrives together and the installer is not held up by a missing part. Most fittings come in handy trade pack sizes, so there are spares left in the toolbox for the next job.
