AKW Safety Flooring to Wall Trim with Flexible Lip – White 3m (21905)

AKW Safety Flooring to Wall Trim with Flexible Lip – White 3m (21905)

The AKW safety flooring to wall trim is a white PVC transition strip that fits between the wall finish – tiles or wall panels – and the edge of safety vinyl flooring coved up the wall. Its flexible lip makes it easier to fit and gives a neat, water-resistant joint.

AKW also lists it as the floor-to-wall profile for Alveo PVC wall panels on vinyl wet room floors. Each length is 3m.

Building a safety-floored wet room. A typical AKW safety flooring installation runs in this order: level the sub-floor with Levelmaster compound (plus latex liquid over timber), bond the sheet vinyl with Styccobond F44, fit a cove former at the wall base and turn the vinyl up the wall using Styccobond F66 contact adhesive, then finish the top edge with a capping strip or a flooring-to-wall trim. At the doorway, a level threshold strip gives a smooth, trip-free transition for wheelchair and walking-frame users. Getting each layer right keeps the floor watertight, hygienic and safe for years.
