AKW Straight Shower Curtain Rail – Choice of Length & Colour

AKW Straight Shower Curtain Rail – Choice of Length & Colour

The AKW straight shower curtain rail spans a recess, alcove or the open side of a shower tray so a curtain can be drawn across in place of a glass door. Supplied complete with fittings, it gives an easy-to-use, fully open showering space for wheelchair users, shower chair users and carers.

Choose 1900mm or 2135mm lengths in white, a 1900mm rail in glossy grey to complement AKW Larenco care screens, a 2530mm Silverdale rail, a cut-to-size kit up to 3180mm or a telescopic rail for small 700–1200mm openings.

Key features & benefits

• Straight rail for recesses, alcoves and the open side of a shower tray or bath
• Supplied with fittings, including wall brackets and ceiling support
• Powder-coated finish for a long life in wet rooms
• Can be cut to length on site for a precise fit
• Smooth-running hooks and gliders for easy opening and closing

How to choose the right length

Measure the gap the curtain needs to cross, wall to wall. Choose the next length up and trim the rail to fit, or choose the telescopic rail for openings between 700mm and 1200mm. For openings longer than 2530mm choose the cut-to-size kit. For corners choose the AKW L shaped shower curtain rail, and for three sides the AKW U shaped shower curtain rail. Curtains are sold separately – see AKW white shower curtains.

Installation notes

Fix the brackets to solid walls at each end. Longer rails should also be supported from the ceiling with a drop rod to keep the rail straight and level. Extra ceiling support kits and drop rods are available.
