AKW Sulby Step-In Shower Tray with Built-In Gravity Waste – Choice of Size & Height

AKW Sulby Step-In Shower Tray with Built-In Gravity Waste – Choice of Size & Height

The AKW Sulby is a low-entry, step-in shower tray made for unbreachable floors – concrete or other floors you cannot dig into. Its patented above-floor gravity waste is built into the tray, and all the waste pipework is hidden within the tray's own height, so there is no need to break into the floor at all. The textured GRP surface is slip-resistant and the tray carries AKW's lifetime guarantee.

Choose from 12 sizes from 820 x 820mm to 1800 x 820mm at 90mm high, with a taller 110mm version of the 1300 x 700mm tray. The gravity waste is included with every tray.

Key features & benefits

• Built-in gravity waste – patented above-floor design with 8 possible outlet points to line up with your existing drainage.
• No floor excavation – pipework is concealed within the tray height.
• Low step-in of 90mm (or 110mm), giving a clearly defined showering area that is easy to see.
• 35mm fall inside the tray for good drainage, with an adjustable 31mm or 38mm water trap.
• Supports up to 190kg (30 stone).
• Non-handed – installs left or right.
• Tiling upstand supplied with every tray; trim-to-length kit with the 1800mm trays.
• No under-tray foaming required. Waste centre is 143mm from the tray edge on every size.
• Optional AKW 45mm step, straight ramp or corner ramp for easier access.

Choosing the right Sulby tray

How to measure: measure the finished wall-to-wall width and depth of the showering area in at least two places and work from the smallest figure. The 1800mm trays can be trimmed to fit.

90mm or 110mm? The standard Sulby is 90mm high. A taller 110mm version is also available in 1300 x 700mm – your installer can advise which height suits your pipework.

Who is it for? Flats, upper floors on concrete, care homes and housing adaptations where the floor cannot be cut, and users who can manage a low step. If you need full level access, look at the AKW Braddan or Mullen trays instead. Call us on 0333 772 4162 for advice.

Installation notes

• Sits on top of the floor – no recess or excavation needed.
• Choose the outlet point that lines up with your existing waste pipe.
• An AKW 45mm step (25007), straight ramp or corner ramp can be added to reduce the step-in height.
