The AKW Toilet Raising Plinth is a strong, white moulded base that fits under an existing toilet pan to raise it. A higher toilet is easier to sit down on and stand up from, and can be brought level with a wheelchair seat to make side transfer easier – a simple, low-cost way to adapt a bathroom without replacing the toilet.

Choose from 25mm, 38mm, 50mm, 75mm or 100mm, including a 59mm plinth made for the AKW Livenza Plus toilet.

Choosing the right height

Measure the current height from the floor to the top of the toilet seat, then decide how much higher it needs to be. For side transfer, aim to match the height of the wheelchair seat; a little extra height can make sitting down and standing up easier. Installation notes

• Remove the toilet pan, fix the plinth to the floor, then refit the pan on top.
• Allow for the extra height when connecting the pan to the soil pipe and the cistern supply.
• We recommend installation by a competent plumber.
