The lightest tone in the range, a pale cream wood with a washed, lime-waxed look and a natural matt finish. The grain is taken from real timber and printed across thirty patterns per colour, so a floor has the natural variation of real boards.

At 200x1200mm the plank suits a staggered floorboard lay or a herringbone. A box of six covers 1.44m². The manufacturer's specification lists it for floors, while its product name describes it as a floor and wall tile.

Porcelain gives a pale wood floor that can go in a bathroom or kitchen without worrying about water. The manufacturer rates it for bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories, hallways and living areas, in homes and light commercial spaces.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.44 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Lay the planks with a third-stagger rather than a half-bond to avoid lippage from any slight bow in the tile. Use a flexible porcelain adhesive on a full bed and check the floor is flat first. A 2-3mm joint with a cream or light beige grout keeps the boards reading as timber. Draw from several boxes as you go.
