Sold by the box – 5 tiles per box, covering around 0.90m². Each 300x600mm tile is 0.18m², so a box works out at roughly £46.00 per m² (£8.28 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Taupe sits between grey and brown, and this 300x600mm porcelain shows the shade at its most useful. It is warmer than the light grey in the range and deeper than the beige, which makes it a good partner for walnut, dark green and cream. The matt surface carries a light stone-effect print.

The rectangular format can be stacked, offset or run vertically up a wall, so one tile covers a lot of layouts. It is sized for bathroom and kitchen walls and floors and is equally at home in a hallway, living area or conservatory.

The porcelain body is hard-wearing and rated for indoor floors as well as walls, so a hallway floor and a bathroom wall can match. Colour is applied in two layers for consistency across the batch. A box of five covers 0.90 square metres; allow a margin for cuts.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.90 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix with a flexible porcelain adhesive on a flat substrate, bedding floors solidly. A 2-3mm joint with a grout matched to the taupe keeps the finish even. If laying in a brick bond, stagger by a third of the tile length. Draw from several boxes so the print blends.
