Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 0.81m². Each 450x900mm tile is 0.405m², so a box works out at roughly £68.64 per m² (£27.80 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Dark grey with grip. The anti-slip version of the Branford 450x900mm tile has a textured matt face that gives extra traction when wet, while keeping the fine grain of Cardoso stone in a deep charcoal tone. The texture also softens the colour, so it reads as honed dark stone.

A box of two covers 0.81m². It is sized for wetroom floors, shower trays formed in tile, kitchen floors and hallways, and it is rated for walls too. Being suitable outdoors as well, the same tile can run from a kitchen across a threshold onto a terrace.

Porcelain, so it is dense and hard-wearing. Use the dark grey satin tile for dry floors and walls where you want more sheen, and the dark grey 70x280mm brick for borders and niches. It is limited stock, so order the full quantity at once.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.81 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix large tiles on a flat base with a cementitious adhesive on both surfaces and no hollows. Keep 2 to 3mm joints, offset by a third in brick bond and use a dark flexible grout. Tank wetroom floors first; outdoors use frost-resistant adhesive and grout and allow a fall for drainage.
