This is the light grey Branford tile with an anti-slip surface, for floors that get wet. The face carries the same fine Cardoso stone grain as the satin version, but the finish is a textured matt with more grip underfoot. The colour is a pale, cool grey.

At 450x900mm with two tiles per box covering 0.81m², it is a large-format floor tile for wetrooms, shower areas, kitchens and hallways, and it is rated for walls as well. The same tile is suitable outdoors, so a kitchen floor can continue onto a patio in the same colour.

Porcelain throughout. Pair it with the light grey satin tile on dry floors and walls for one colour with two surfaces, or with the light grey 70x280mm brick as a border. Limited stock, so order the full quantity in one go.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.81 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Lay on a flat, sound base with a cementitious adhesive on both the tile and the floor so the large format is fully bedded. Keep 2 to 3mm joints and offset brick bond by a third. In wetrooms tank the floor first; outside use frost-resistant adhesive and grout. Textured surfaces need a little more care at grout clean-up.
