Cape May Black Onyx Effect Polished Porcelain Wall & Floor Tile 600x1200mm (Per Box of 2 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 1.44m². Each 600x1200mm tile is 0.72m², so a box works out at roughly £77.22 per m² (£55.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Polished black onyx: a deep black ground with fine, lighter veins under a glass-like finish. The polished surface reflects light, so a dark wall in Cape May Black Polished feels rich rather than heavy. It is made for feature walls in bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms.

The 600x1200mm format keeps joints to a minimum, which matters on a black tile where pale grout lines would break the effect. A wall behind a basin or bath takes only a few pieces; two tiles per box cover 1.44m².

A polished porcelain rated for walls and floors indoors. Pair it with the natural black Cape May tile on the floor for a slip-resistant surface in the same colour, and keep the polished version for walls.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.44 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix on a flat substrate with a full bed of flexible porcelain adhesive on both surfaces and a levelling system; hollows under a polished black tile show as dull patches. Keep a 2 to 3mm joint, grout in black and clean the gloss face immediately. Dry-lay to run the veins together. Two-person lifting; cut on a wet bench saw.
