Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 1.44m². Each 600x1200mm tile is 0.72m², so a box works out at roughly £77.22 per m² (£55.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

The softest colour in the Cape May range, Ivory is a cream and ivory onyx with gentle banding, and in the natural finish it has the warm, chalky look of honed stone. It brightens a bathroom without the glare of a polished tile and works with warm metals and timber.

At 600x1200mm it suits large floors and full-height walls, with few joints to interrupt the onyx bands. Run it across a bathroom floor and up the shower wall, or use it as a calm floor in a kitchen or ground-floor living room.

A porcelain tile with a natural, slip-resistant finish (PTV36+), which makes it the choice for floors in this colour. The matching polished ivory tile can be used on walls for contrast. It is specified for indoor walls and floors.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.44 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix with a flexible porcelain adhesive, combed on the substrate and back-buttered on the tile, and fit levelling clips to keep the large faces flush. A 2 to 3mm joint with an ivory grout keeps the banding continuous. Set the tiles out dry to balance the pattern. Handle with two fitters and cut with a rail cutter or wet saw.
