Carmel Beige Minimal is a warm, honey-toned stone with subtle mineral detailing and only a little surface movement. It looks like quarried limestone without the upkeep. The colour suits a rustic kitchen, a Mediterranean-style bathroom or an open-plan living floor.

The 600x1200mm slab is sized for large floors and tall walls. With two tiles to a box and 0.72m² per tile, coverage is easy to plan and joints are few. It makes a good bathroom feature wall or a plain, warm backdrop in a hallway.

A porcelain body with a matt face, so it is dense, stain-resistant and comfortable underfoot. Approved for indoor walls and floors. The restrained pattern means boxes can be mixed without worrying about repeats.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.44 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a flexible porcelain adhesive, combed on the floor and back-buttered on the tile, with levelling clips to avoid lippage on this large format. Keep a 2 to 3mm joint and grout in a warm beige or sand colour. Make sure the floor is flat before starting; a 600x1200mm tile will not follow dips.
