Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 1.44m². Each 600x1200mm tile is 0.72m², so a box works out at roughly £52.29 per m² (£37.65 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

The varied beige face in the Carmel range mixes honey tones with soft grey highlights, so the stone effect has more movement and contrast than the minimal version. It is earthy and warm, and it works with wood, brushed metal and neutral fabrics.

At 600x1200mm the tile makes a large, quiet floor in a hallway or kitchen and a strong feature wall in a bathroom. The variation is spread across the face, so laid over a big area it looks like a natural stone floor rather than a repeating print.

Matt porcelain for walls and floors indoors. It does not need sealing, resists stains and is easy to mop. The style is neutral enough for both traditional and contemporary rooms. Draw tiles from several boxes to spread the shading.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.44 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Lay on a flat, primed substrate with a flexible cementitious adhesive and full coverage, back-buttering each tile. Use a levelling system and a 2 to 3mm joint. Dry-lay a few pieces to balance the grey highlights before fixing. Grout in beige. Cut with a wet saw or rail cutter.
