Charleston Beige as a brick mosaic. The 300x300mm mesh-backed sheet holds small porcelain bricks in an offset pattern, each with the warm beige travertine markings of the full-size tiles. Laid as whole sheets, it builds a textured surface quickly.

The beige tones range from cream to sand across the bricks, and the matt glaze keeps the surface soft. It is a natural choice for a shower floor beneath walls of plain Charleston Beige, or as a splashback or feature band where the small format adds detail.

The sheets are porcelain and suit indoor walls and floors, including wet areas in bathrooms and kitchens. Six sheets to a box cover 0.54m². Trim along the mesh for borders and narrow strips so the pieces stay in line.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.54 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Apply a flexible porcelain adhesive with a fine-notch trowel and bed the sheets with a float so the surface is flat. Match the sheet-to-sheet gap to the joints within the sheet. Grout with a flexible beige grout; in showers, waterproof the substrate first and use a mould-resistant grout.
