Warm beige travertine effect broken down into a herringbone mosaic. Each 305x305mm sheet is mesh-backed, with the porcelain pieces pre-set in the chevron pattern, so you lay a full sheet at a time and the herringbone continues across the joins.

On a small scale the beige markings become a lively mix of light and mid tones, and the matt glaze keeps the surface soft and natural. It suits a shower floor, the back of a niche, a splashback behind a basin or a band of detail in a wall of plain Charleston Beige.

The mosaic is porcelain and listed for walls and floors indoors, so wet areas are fine. A box holds six sheets and covers 0.56m². Because herringbone leaves angled edges, allow extra for cuts, and keep off-cuts for filling the margins.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.56 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a flexible porcelain adhesive, combed thin with a 3-4mm notch, and bed each sheet with a float so the pieces sit level. Butt sheets carefully so the pattern spacing matches the joints inside the sheet. Grout with a flexible beige or sand grout, and tank wet areas first.
