Sold by the box – 6 sheets per box, covering around 0.56m². Each 305x305mm sheet is 0.093m², so a box works out at roughly £217.32 per m² (£20.28 a sheet). We only supply full boxes.

A herringbone mosaic of Charleston Grey travertine effect, supplied as a 305x305mm mesh-backed sheet. The small porcelain pieces are already set in the zigzag pattern, so the sheet lays as one unit and the herringbone comes together without cutting each piece.

The colour is a light grey with darker travertine bands, and across a sheet of small pieces the banding breaks into a varied, flecked surface. The matt finish keeps it soft. It makes a good shower floor, niche, splashback or border against the plain grey tiles.

Being porcelain, the mosaic is suitable for both walls and floors indoors, including wet areas in bathrooms and kitchens. Six sheets come in a box, covering 0.56m². Order by the box, and allow extra for the cuts at the edges of a herringbone layout.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.56 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Spread a flexible porcelain adhesive thinly with a fine-notch trowel and press the sheet in with a grout float so every piece beds evenly. Align the pattern between sheets before the adhesive grabs. Grout with a flexible grout in a grey close to the tile; on shower floors use a waterproof tanking system beneath.
