Del Mar Walnut is a dark, rich brown wood-effect plank with the grain and tonal shifts of real walnut printed across the face. Tone varies plank to plank, so a laid floor has the depth of timber boards rather than a flat repeat. The finish is a natural matt.

At 202x802mm it is a true plank proportion. Lay it in a staggered bond like floorboards, or in a herringbone for a parquet look. Eight planks to a box cover 1.30m². It also runs up a wall as a feature behind a bath or a bed.

Porcelain gives you the look of walnut without the upkeep: no sanding, no oiling, and it is fine in bathrooms and kitchens where timber would not be. Suitable for indoor floors and walls. A matching anti-slip version is made for outside.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.30 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix on a flat floor with a flexible porcelain adhesive, back-buttered for a full bed; long planks will rock on hollows. Stagger joints by no more than a third of the plank length to avoid lipping. Use a 2-3mm joint and a dark brown grout. Mix planks from several boxes.
