A green border to frame the emerald green Edisto Victorian floor. The strip is made up of small matt porcelain tiles held on a mesh backing and laid as a single piece. Its effective size is 285x93mm with a 2 to 3mm joint, and it measures 310mm overall to the tip of the end square.

A box holds seven strips, enough for roughly 2 linear metres of border. Laid between the patterned sheets and the skirting, with the emerald green corner sheet at each turn, it gives the floor the finished edge that an original Victorian hall would have had.

Porcelain for indoor floors, in a matt finish that matches the 338x338mm emerald green patterned sheet in tone and joint width. Suitable for hallways, kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories and living rooms.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the length of the run in metres, add a little for cuts, divide by 2.0 and round up to the next whole box. Buy all your boxes together so the pieces come from the same batch.

Fitting notes

Fix the patterned field first, then place the corner sheets and work the border strips between them so cuts fall in the middle of a run. Bed in a flexible cementitious adhesive with a fine-notched trowel, press each strip flat and keep a 2 to 3mm joint to the field. Grout with a flexible grout.
