Falmouth Calacatta White Marble Effect Gloss Ceramic Wall Tile 270x420mm (Per Box of 9 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 9 tiles per box, covering around 1.02m². Each 270x420mm tile is 0.113m², so a box works out at roughly £25.00 per m² (£2.83 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Calacatta White is the boldest Falmouth tile: a white ground crossed by strong grey veins in the style of calacatta marble, under a high-gloss glaze. The contrast is much stronger than on the plain white matt, so a wall of it has real movement and catches the light.

Boxes of nine cover 1.02m² at 270x420mm. It suits a full bathroom wall or shower area in a brick bond, or a single feature wall with the plain white matt tile on the others. As a kitchen splashback the gloss makes it easy to wipe behind a hob or sink.

This is a glazed ceramic wall tile for indoor walls. It is thin, light and easy to cut, and the gloss glaze is sealed against stains. Because the veining is bold, the pattern varies a lot from tile to tile; laying from several boxes avoids clusters of similar tiles.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.02 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix to a flat, dry wall with a standard ceramic wall adhesive and a 6mm notched trowel. Lay out a few tiles first to see how the veins fall, then set out from the centre. Use a 2 to 3mm joint with a white grout, draw from mixed boxes and wipe grout haze off the gloss.
