Sold by the box – 7 tiles per box, covering around 1.05m². Each 300x500mm tile is 0.15m², so a box works out at roughly £46.00 per m² (£6.90 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

The 300x500mm rectangle is the middle module in the Florence flagstone set. Laid on its own in a brick bond it gives a floor a simple flagged rhythm; combined with the square sizes it builds a random pattern that looks like reclaimed stone. Seven tiles cover 1.05m².

The colour is autumn grey, a slate effect with warm brown-grey undertones and a layered, weathered surface. Tone shifts from tile to tile, as it would in quarried slate. The matt finish keeps the look natural and does not glare.

It is porcelain, so it is suitable for floors as well as walls indoors and copes with the traffic of a hallway or kitchen. Bathrooms and conservatories suit it too. It wipes clean with a damp mop and needs no sealing.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.05 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a flexible porcelain adhesive on a flat, sound base and butter the backs on floors. Joints of 3-5mm suit the aged-stone look; keep them consistent across the three modular sizes if you mix them. Grout in a mid grey. Draw from more than one box to blend the shading.
