Sold by the box – 5 tiles per box, covering around 1.25m². Each 500x500mm tile is 0.25m², so a box works out at roughly £46.00 per m² (£11.50 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

The largest Florence Pale Grey tile, a 500x500mm square. At this size the aged-stone surface has room to show its subtle variation, and a floor laid with it looks like big, light flags. Five tiles make a box and cover 1.25m².

Lay it on its own for a calm, open floor in a kitchen, hallway or conservatory, or combine it with the 300x500mm and 300x300mm pale grey for a random modular pattern. The matt finish keeps reflections down in a big, bright room.

It is a porcelain tile for floors and walls indoors. It handles heavy foot traffic and wet rooms, cleans with a damp mop and needs no sealing. The pale colour hides dust better than a dark tile, which is useful in a busy hallway.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.25 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Lay the large squares on a flat, rigid base with flexible porcelain adhesive and a full back-butter; a 500mm tile shows lipping on an uneven floor. Keep 3-5mm joints and grout in a pale grey. Plan a modular pattern before you start, and work from a mix of boxes.
