Florence White blends the look of cement and stone in a warm, natural off-white. It has a handmade character, with slightly imperfect edges and an aged surface, so a floor of it looks like it has been there a long time. The finish is matt.

The 300x300mm square lays in a simple grid or a half-offset, and twelve tiles to a box cover 1.08m². It is a good size for a small kitchen, a utility room or a bathroom floor, and it brightens dark spaces more than the grey flagstones do.

It is porcelain, suitable for indoor floors and walls, and takes the wear of a hallway or the water of a bathroom without sealing. Stock of this colour is limited and it is a last-chance line, so buy everything you need in one order.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.08 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a flexible, cement-based porcelain adhesive and bed the tiles fully on floors. A 3-5mm joint suits the imperfect, handmade-style edge; grout in white or a pale stone colour. Order everything together, as this is a last-chance line and batches cannot be matched later.
