Sold by the box – 7 tiles per box, covering around 1.26m². Each 300x600mm tile is 0.18m², so a box works out at roughly £38.25 per m² (£6.89 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Taupe Grey sits between the beige and the greys in the Gulfport range. It is a greige: grey with a warm brown undertone, so it works with both cool and warm colour schemes. The concrete shading is subtle and the overall effect is soft and settled rather than industrial.

A 300x600mm format gives a good balance of scale and ease. It covers a family bathroom wall without heavy cutting and lays neatly around a bath or shower tray. On a kitchen floor the longer edge laid across the room makes a narrow galley feel wider.

Made from 9mm porcelain with rectified edges, the tile takes a tight joint and a flat finish. The matt surface is hard-wearing and forgiving of footprints and dust. It is suitable for walls and floors in any indoor room, including conservatories.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.26 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a flexible porcelain adhesive, applied with a notched trowel and combed in one direction so air can escape. On floors, check the substrate is flat to within 3mm over 2m before you start. Keep a 2mm joint, blend tiles from different boxes and grout with a mid-grey or greige grout.
