Kartell K-VIT G4K Bath Shower Mixer Chrome (TAP112G4K)

The Kartell K-VIT G4K range is the budget end of the Kartell brassware line — plain, single-lever, chrome, and priced for a rental, a second bathroom, or a job where the taps need to work rather than impress.

This is the bath shower mixer: a deck-mounted bath tap with a diverter and a shower handset on a flexible hose.

Often the most useful tap in the range

It fills the bath like a normal bath filler, and the diverter sends water to the handset instead — so you can shower over the bath without a separate shower installation at all.

In a second bathroom, a flat or a rental that has a bath but no shower, this is frequently the cheapest way to add showering. It costs only a little more than the plain G4K bath filler and saves fitting a valve, riser rail and screen.

The honest limitation

Suitable for low pressure systems, and this is where expectations need setting. On gravity-fed plumbing the tap will work, but the handset will be a gentle spray rather than a powerful shower. That's your water pressure, not the tap.

If the property is on a combi or mains pressure you'll get a perfectly usable shower. If it's a tank in the loft and a hot cylinder, treat this as a rinse-and-hair-wash solution rather than a proper shower — or budget for a pump.
