The Kartell K-VIT G4K range is the budget end of the Kartell brassware line — plain, chrome, and priced for a rental, a second bathroom, or a job where the taps need to work rather than impress.

This is the deck bath filler: a wider, flatter tap that sits across the rim of the bath, with two handles either side of a central spout.

Deck filler or standard bath filler?

This is the choice people get wrong, so worth being clear.

A standard bath filler is a single unit fitting two tap holes at standard centres — the usual arrangement on most baths.

A deck filler like this one spreads across the deck of the bath and needs the holes set further apart. It suits a bath with a wide flat rim, or a tiled surround where the tap sits on the platform rather than the bath itself.

Measure your tap hole centres before ordering. A deck filler won't fit standard-centre holes, and a standard filler will look lost on a wide deck. This is the single most common reason bath taps go back.

What you're getting for the money

A solid brass body rather than zinc alloy, a ceramic disc cartridge so it shouldn't drip, and a lifetime guarantee on the body. Unusual at this price.

Before you order

Uses 3/4" BSP connections, larger than basin taps. Suitable for low pressure systems, though on low pressure any bath tap fills slowly — that's the system, not the tap.
