Astley is Kartell's traditional range, and its accessories carry the same period styling as the Astley close coupled toilet and Astley 2 tap hole basin: round stepped backplates and a polished chrome finish. Choose pieces from the set to give the whole room a matching look.

A double chrome towel bar with two rails, the second hanging below the first on curved arms, so two towels can hang at once without being bunched up on one rail.

Choosing and using it

It is 664mm long, much the same as the Astley single towel bar, and 150mm tall overall: the top rail runs between the two wall brackets and the lower rail hangs beneath it, finishing 120mm out from the wall, so each towel has room to air. It is the better choice for a family or shared bathroom, or anywhere a single bar ends up with towels doubled over and slow to dry.

Fitting

Fit it at around 1100–1200mm from the floor next to the bath or shower. Because it carries two damp towels, make sure the fixings go into solid wall or proper cavity fixings – see the fitting note below.

Kartell supply fixings with it. Before drilling, check they suit your wall: plasterboard and stud walls need cavity fixings rather than standard plugs, and tiles should be drilled with a tile bit on a slow speed to avoid cracking.
