The Kartell K-VIT Essential 600mm Countertop Basin is the largest of the three Essential basins — a long, shallow rectangular bowl that sits on top of a worktop or vanity unit rather than being recessed into it.

The extra width gives a generous wash area and a more striking look on a wide vanity. It suits a main bathroom or an en suite where the basin is meant to be a feature rather than just a fitting.

What Else You Will Need

• A surface to sit on — an existing worktop, or one of the Kartell solid surface worktops, which pair with the 500mm and 600mm Atlantis, Dove, Urban, Sanctuary, Moon, City and Purity vanity units. For a 600mm basin, check the worktop is wide enough to leave a margin either side.
• A taller tap. This basin has a single central tap hole, so it takes a countertop basin mixer with enough height to clear the bowl.

Tap and waste are not included and are sold separately.

Choosing Your Essential Basin

All three Essential basins share the same rectangular profile and single tap hole — the choice is simply width: 420mm for a compact vanity, 500mm for a standard one, or 600mm for a wide worktop or where two people share the space.
