The Kartell K-VIT Island 500mm Countertop Basin is a softly rounded oval bowl that sits on top of a worktop or vanity unit. The thin rim and absence of hard corners give it a light, almost floating look — the gentler alternative to a crisp rectangular basin.

At 500mm it is the middle size and suits a standard vanity unit.

Important — This Basin Has No Tap Hole

The Island basins have no tap hole, so the tap cannot be mounted on the basin itself. You will need either a wall-mounted basin mixer plumbed through the wall behind, or a tall deck-mounted basin mixer fitted into the worktop alongside with enough height to clear the rim.

A standard basin mixer intended to sit on the basin will not work. Worth settling the tap before ordering, as a wall-mounted mixer affects the plumbing behind the wall.
