The K-Therm Style is Kartell’s entry-level thermostatic radiator valve (TRV), with a white head and chrome body – a practical, low-cost way to control the temperature of each room. Turn the numbered head to choose how warm you want the room, and the valve opens and closes by itself to hold that temperature.

Every radiator needs two valves: the thermostatic valve that you turn to set the temperature, and a lockshield valve on the other end that your plumber sets once to balance the system. If you only need to swap the thermostatic side, a single valve is all you need; if you are fitting a new radiator, the twin pack gives you both.

Choose from the dropdown: a single straight valve, a single angled valve, or an angled twin pack that includes the matching lockshield. The valves are made from brass and the twin pack’s valve body is bi-directional, which means it works whichever side the hot water comes in from.

Which option do I need?

• Straight valve – a single thermostatic valve for pipes that come up through the floor into a radiator or towel rail whose connection points downwards. It does not include a lockshield valve.
• Angled valve – a single thermostatic valve for pipes that come up from the floor or out of the wall and turn through 90° into the side of the radiator. It does not include a lockshield valve.
• Angled twin pack – an angled thermostatic valve plus a matching lockshield valve for the other end of the radiator. This is the one to choose if you are fitting a new radiator or replacing both valves.

Ordering the wrong shape is an easy mistake to make, so it’s worth a quick look behind the radiator before you buy.

Fitting

These valves are for standard UK 15mm pipework. Fitting means draining down or isolating the heating system, so we recommend a plumber or heating engineer. Make sure the thermostatic head can ‘feel’ the air in the room – behind a long curtain or inside a box it will read trapped warm air and switch off too early.
