Kartell K-VIT Kore Mono Basin Mixer with Click Waste – Chrome (TAP401KO)

The Kartell K-VIT Kore range is a clean, round, minimal collection of brassware for contemporary bathrooms — cylindrical bodies, slim stick levers and no ornamentation. This is the mono basin mixer in polished chrome, and it comes complete with a matching click waste, which is worth noting because most basin mixers don't.

Will it work with my water pressure?

Yes. Kore is suitable for low pressure systems, so it works on gravity-fed plumbing — a cold tank in the loft and a hot cylinder — as well as on combi and mains-pressure systems. That matters in older properties, where a tap needing 1.0 bar simply dribbles.

Living with it

The ceramic disc cartridge with quarter-turn operation is the part that determines how a tap feels and how long it lasts. Ceramic discs don't perish the way rubber washers do, so a dripping tap is far less likely, and the quarter turn means full flow from a small movement of the lever.

Polished chrome is the easiest finish to live with — it hides water spotting better than matt black and needs nothing more than a wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and limescale removers left to soak, which will dull the plating over time.

Matching the rest of the room

The identical design is made in matt black as the Nero Round range and brushed brass as Ottone, so you can run the same shapes through a room in whichever finish suits. Within Kore itself there's a bath filler, bath shower mixer, freestanding mixer, hi-rise basin mixer, wall mounted basin mixer and wall mounted bath spout.
