Kartell K-VIT KV8 Frameless Shower Side Panel – Chrome (All Sizes)

The Kartell K-VIT KV8 frameless side panel is the second half of a corner shower. Pair it at right angles with a KV8 hinged or sliding door and you get a two-sided enclosure that stands away from the wall rather than being boxed into a recess.

KV8 is Kartell's premium showering range: 8mm toughened glass, a taller 1950mm height, and an easy-clean coating baked onto the glass. That coating is the practical difference day to day — water beads and runs off instead of drying into limescale spots, so it needs wiping far less often than untreated glass.

Measuring up

The side panel is the depth of your shower, measured out from the wall the door sits in. It has about 20mm of adjustment at the wall profile — less than a door, which has around 40mm — so measure at floor level and at the top and work to the narrowest.

The panel size is independent of the door size. A 900mm door with a 760mm panel is perfectly normal if that's the shape of your corner.

Sizes, adjustment ranges and codes

KV8 or KV6?

The KV6 panels are 6mm glass at 1850mm high with no easy-clean coating, and cost less. KV8 gives you thicker glass, an extra 100mm of height and the coating. Don't mix the two ranges — a KV8 panel is 100mm taller than a KV6 door, so they won't line up.
