Kartell K-VIT Modern Manual Radiator Valves (Pair) – Black (Straight, Angled or Corner)
Clean, modern radiator valves from Kartell in a matt black finish, with a smooth round head that suits contemporary towel rails and designer radiators. Straight, angled and corner versions share the same look, so you can match valves across the house whatever the pipework.
These are manual valves: you turn the head by hand to open or close the radiator, rather than the valve controlling the room temperature for you. They come as a pair – one valve to turn the radiator on and off, and a matching lockshield valve for the other end, which your plumber sets once to balance the heating system. Manual valves are a simple, good-looking choice for towel rails and radiators where you don’t need automatic temperature control.
Choose the type that suits your pipework from the dropdown – straight, angled or corner.
Would you rather each room controlled its own temperature? Take a look at our matching K-Design thermostatic radiator valves in black.
Which type do I need?
Look at where your pipes come from and where they go into the radiator or towel rail:
- Straight – for pipes that come up through the floor and go straight into a radiator or towel rail whose connections point downwards, with no change of direction.
- Angled – the most popular choice. Use it where the pipe comes up out of the floor (or out of the wall) and needs to turn through 90° to go into the side of the radiator or towel rail.
- Corner – for pipes that come straight out of the wall behind the radiator. The valve turns the corner neatly and sits tight to the wall, so there is very little pipe on show.
Ordering the wrong type is an easy mistake to make, so it’s worth a quick look behind the radiator before you buy.

Fitting
The valves are for standard UK 15mm pipework and connect to the radiator or towel rail with a standard ½” BSP fitting. Fitting means draining down or isolating the heating system, so we recommend using a plumber or heating engineer. Protect the finish while tightening the nuts (a couple of layers of cloth or paper between the spanner and the nut helps) and don’t over-tighten.
For a neat finish where the pipes come out of the floor or wall, add a pair of matching 15mm pipes and rosettes.
Looking after the finish
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach and strong cleaning sprays, which can damage the matt black finish.
