Kartell K-VIT Premium Towel Bar – Brushed Nickel (ACC321)

Kartell K-VIT Premium Towel Bar – Brushed Nickel (ACC321)

Premium is Kartell's range of brass bathroom accessories, with crisp square backplates and clean, modern lines, made in four finishes – chrome, matt black, brushed nickel and brushed brass – so the finishing touches can match the taps and shower in the rest of the room. This is the brushed nickel version.

A slim, flat towel bar with square end brackets, for hanging a bath or hand towel flat against the wall where it can air and dry between uses.

Choosing and using it

It is 580mm long and only 20mm high, with the bar standing 49mm out from the wall, so it suits a hand towel or a bath towel folded in half without crowding a small space. Before you buy, check there is a clear 580mm run of wall free of switches, sockets and tile trims.

Also available in Chrome, Matt Black and Brushed Brass.

Fitting

Most towel bars are fitted at around 1100–1200mm from the floor beside the bath or shower so a towel is within reach as you step out. Mark both fixing points with a spirit level before drilling – a bar that is even slightly out of level is very noticeable with a towel hanging from it.

Before drilling, make sure the fixings you use suit your wall: plasterboard and stud walls need cavity fixings rather than standard plugs, and tiles should be drilled with a tile bit on a slow speed to avoid cracking.

Looking after the finish

Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach and limescale removers, which can mark the finish.
