The Kartell K-VIT Proton Low Level Toilet uses the traditional low level arrangement — the cistern mounted on the wall above the pan and joined to it by an exposed chrome flush pipe, rather than sitting directly on top as a close coupled toilet does.

It suits a period property or a room where you want a more classic look, and the raised cistern gives a strong flush. The open back pan leaves no enclosed void behind for dust to gather in, so a cloth reaches all the way round.

Bottom Feed or Side Feed?

This is the one decision to get right, and it depends on how your water supply reaches the cistern:

• PROLLBF — bottom feed. The supply enters from underneath, keeping the pipework tucked away below for a tidier finish.
• PROLLSF — side feed. The supply enters from the side, for where the pipe runs along the wall. Its inlet and handle can each be fitted left or right.

The two are not interchangeable, so check which way your pipe runs before ordering. Both cisterns are also available separately on this site as replacements.
