A large PVC wall panel from Kartell’s K-VIT range in a light grey marble design. It has a gloss finish that reflects the light and makes a room feel brighter. Each panel is 2.4m tall and 1m wide, so a single panel covers the same area as dozens of tiles – with no grout lines to clean, stain or go mouldy.

Wall panels are a quick, clean alternative to tiling around a shower, above a bath, or across a whole bathroom wall. They are 10mm thick with tongue and groove edges, so each panel slots neatly into the next for a tidy, almost seamless finish. The photo shows part of the panel’s pattern; the full panel is 2.4m tall and 1m wide.

How many panels do I need?

Panels are 2.4m tall, which covers floor to ceiling in most bathrooms, or from the top of a bath or shower tray up to the ceiling. Measure the width of each wall you want to cover and allow one panel for every metre, rounding up – so a 1.7m wide wall needs two panels. Each panel covers up to 2.4 square metres.

Order all the panels you need, plus any spare, at the same time. That way they come from the same production batch and the colour will match (see the note below).

Trims and adhesive

To finish the edges and corners neatly you will need 10mm trims, available in chrome or black:

• End cap – covers the open edge where a panel finishes
• External corner – for corners that stick out, such as round a boxed-in pipe
• Internal winged corner – for inside corners, where two walls meet
• H joint (chrome only) – joins two panel edges side by side, for example where a panel has been cut

Please read before buying wall panels

• Check the batch numbers on all your panels match before you fit them.
• Claims cannot be accepted once the packaging has been opened.
• Unwanted wall panels cannot be returned.
• Colours shown on screen and in print are a good guide, but may not be an exact match to the panel itself.

Looking after your panels

Wipe with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water, then dry. Avoid scouring pads, abrasive creams and strong solvents, which can scratch or dull the surface.
