Kartell K-VIT Kolt Mini Mono Basin Mixer Brushed Nickel (TAP332KBN)

The Kartell K-VIT Kolt range pairs an angular tap body with a right-angle spout. This is the mini mono basin mixer in brushed nickel — the same design as the standard Kolt basin mixer, scaled down.

When to choose the mini

A mini basin mixer is shorter in the body and spout than a standard one. It suits a cloakroom basin, a compact vanity unit, or any basin where a full-size tap looks oversized and the spout would overhang too far into the bowl.

The trade-off is reach. A shorter spout lands water closer to the back of the basin, which is fine in a small bowl but can mean washing your hands against the ceramic in a larger one. As a rule: if the basin is under about 450mm wide, the mini is usually the better proportion.

Why brushed nickel

A softer, warmer grey than chrome without the mirror shine — quality metalwork that doesn't dominate. In a cloakroom, where the basin is often the only fitting, nickel lifts the room without the commitment of a bolder finish.

Brushed surfaces hide water spotting and fingerprints better than polished chrome. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth; avoid abrasives and limescale remover.

Water pressure

Kolt needs only 0.2 bar — useful in older properties, where a cloakroom is often the furthest point from the hot cylinder and the worst-served tap in the house.

The same tap in four finishes

Kolt is made in brushed nickel, polished chrome, matt black and brushed brass. For a full-size basin, the standard Kolt mono basin mixer is the better proportion and includes a waste.
