Kartell K-VIT Nero Curve Mini Mono Basin Mixer Matt Black (TAP293CN)

The Kartell K-VIT Curve Nero range is the matt black version of Curve — a bold curved spout arcing out of a clean, slightly angular body. This is the mini mono basin mixer, and it comes complete with a matching black clicker waste.

When to choose the mini

A mini basin mixer is shorter in the body and spout than a standard one. It suits a cloakroom basin, a compact vanity unit, or any basin where a full-size tap looks oversized.

At 0.54kg this is a genuinely small tap. On a small cloakroom basin that's exactly right; on anything approaching full size it will look lost. As a rule, if the basin is over about 450mm wide use the standard Curve Nero mono basin mixer instead.

A cloakroom is a good place for black brassware — a small room where a bold finish can carry the whole scheme without committing the main bathroom to it. The included black waste matters here too, since in a small basin the waste is very visible.

Living with matt black

Matt black shows limescale and water spotting more than chrome — white marks stand out against a dark surface. A wipe dry after use keeps it sharp.

Never use abrasive cleaners or limescale remover. The finish is a coating, not plating, and harsh chemicals will dull or strip it. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth only.

Water pressure

Suitable for low pressure systems — useful in older properties, where a cloakroom is often the furthest point from the hot cylinder and the worst-served tap in the house.
