The Kartell K-VIT Viktory range is traditional styling at the affordable end — crosshead handles on a simple rounded body, in polished chrome. This is a pair of bath pillar taps: two separate taps, one hot and one cold.

Pillar taps or a bath filler?

Pillar taps are the traditional arrangement — two separate taps, no mixing. You fill with both running and mix in the bath.

On a period bathroom, particularly a roll-top, they're the historically right choice and look considerably better than a modern single spout. Where convenience matters more, the Viktory bath filler delivers water already mixed from one spout.

They're also the cheapest way into the range by some margin — useful on a rental or a second bathroom where the look matters but the spend can't.

Before you order

Check your bath has two tap holes at the correct centres. A bath drilled for a mixer usually has them closer together than a pillar pair needs.

Note the connection size. Kartell list these with 1/2" hoses, but bath taps are normally 3/4" — larger, so the bath fills faster. Check what your existing tails are before fitting, and budget for adaptors if they don't match.

The waste is sold separately.

Traditional look, modern mechanism

Quarter-turn ceramic disc valves rather than washers, so far less likely to drip than genuinely old pillar taps.

Water pressure

Suitable for low pressure systems, though on gravity-fed plumbing a bath will fill slowly whatever taps you fit.
